Today’s the big day.

Jordan Westrupp and Rachel Austin got married up at St Johns church on top of the hill. Jordan’s Dad (Major Andy Westrupp) officiated and Raewyn and I had the honour of offering a dedicatory prayer.

When they get back from their honeymoon Rachel starts work for us at The Salvation Army Johnsonville as Receptionist/Administrative Assistant. Additionally, on the volunteer front, Jordan and Rachel will then operate in tandem as our joint Youth Leaders.

We want to share our prayer with you and we ask that you also pray this for these two great people.

Creator God, source of all love,
Pour down your grace upon Jordan and Rachel
That they may fulfil the vows they have made today,
And reflect your steadfast love
in their life-long faithfulness to each other.
Help us to support them in their life together.
Give them courage and patience,
affection and understanding,
and love toward you,
toward each other,
and toward the world;
that they may continue to grow
in Jesus Christ our Lord.

Wonderful God, giver of life,
bless Jordan and Rachel whom you have now joined in marriage.
Grant them wisdom and devotion in their life together,
that each may be for the other a strength in need,
a comfort in sorrow, and a companion in joy.
So unite their wills in your will,
and their spirits in your Spirit,
that they may live and grow together in love and peace
all the days of their life;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
